The M/V Equator Peace began to take on water en route from South America to Asia. Unfortunately for her, she was not allowed within 50 nautical miles of the South African coastline, or into South African ports for repairs! Her crew positioned her 30 miles off Maputo, and Dormac’s team of divers went to work. They stopped the water ingress, and made temporary repairs to shell frames in the cargo hold and topside tank. The Equator Peace was soon on her way to China, to offload her cargo and get permanent repairs.
