DORMAC steel division offers a host of steel repairs and fabrication work, with class approved materials on a 24 Hour basis at globally competitive rates. DORMAC has over 50 approved procedures from various Classification Societies and Inspection Authorities, both in the Marine and Industrial Fields. We are able to comply with the highest standards of quality expected within these key industries.

The steel repairs and fabrications works division is able to staff up quickly and adequately from within a pool of over 2000 workers on a 24-hour basis. DORMAC has fully-equipped fabrication workshops around the Southern African coast with a complete complement of manufacturing and repair apparatus at its disposal.

Safety is an extremely important facet of our operation. One of our greatest goals is to provide our employees with the safest working conditions, ensuring that when he or she goes on the job for DORMAC, both employee and client can rest assured that every safety procedure is strictly adhered to. DORMAC is committed to quality. All inspections are performed in our workshop by our Quality Control Manager. We have all the necessary equipment to assure quality parts. Inspection records are always available for review. All parts are first article inspected and monitored throughout the complete manufacturing process to insure a quality machine shop product.

The CATIA V5 Cad software allows DORMAC to carry out specific repairs to components in that new parts may be “re-designed” from old (or existing parts) to suit the required repair to exact standards, thus repairs can be “custom made”. Repairs and manufacture of hydraulic pump parts are typical of this kind of application.
